25 Weeks!

25 Weeks! www.eatmovelivelove.com

WOWZA!  As I upload these bump photos, I can’t get over how big my bump got since the last time I posted.  Baby S measures at about 13.5 inches and weighs approximately 1.5 lbs.  That means baby has doubled in size since the last time I posted so I guess it makes sense!

How Far Along?  25 weeks…6 months pregnant!  Just a few short weeks until I am in the 3rd trimester.  Can’t believe it!

Maternity clothes?  With the temps dipping this week I was forced to go shopping on Tuesday night for some maternity clothes to get me through fall/early winter.  I got some cute tops, dress pants for work, long leggings, and a pair of jeans.  I am most excited about the jeans.  They look and feel like my normal skinny jeans.  Best part is that I will be able to wear these after Baby S is born as I transition back into my pre-pregnancy clothes.

Weight gain:  So far I have gained 25 lbs.  That’s about a pound per week.  Hopefully I can keep the weight gain at a pound a week going forward (which is what is recommended at this stage in my pregnancy).  I am just going to continue to eat as healthy as possible and trust my body.  It knows what it’s doing!

Sleep?  My birthday was last Friday and my husband and son got me a Boppy Pregnancy Pillow which has made it much easier getting comfortable at night.

30thbirthday

Best Moment this week:  Celebrating my 30th birthday with family!  We went out to Taki for some hibachi the night of my birthday and had a big family birthday dinner last Sunday with my in-laws at Biaggi’s.  A weekend filled with lots of yummy food.  A pregnant lady’s dream come true!  🙂

We also go our nursery furniture this week and I am so excited!  It is beautiful!  Having the furniture definitely makes everything feel that much more real.  I think my husband freaked out a bit once it was delivered.  We haven’t set any of it up yet as we need to move the guest bedroom stuff up to our finished attic.  I also want to paint the room before we set the furniture up.  I’ll probably start within the next couple of weeks.

Here is the crib and dresser that we got. We also got a matching changing table.
Here is the crib and dresser that we got. We also got a matching changing table.  The cool thing about this crib is that it will grow with the baby.  It turns into a toddler bed and then into a full bed.

Miss anything?  I have had some sciatic nerve pain and back stain so I guess I miss not having these issues.  It’s been affecting my ability to stay active which I am not a fan of!

Movement?:  The baby is constantly moving around in there.  My husband even got to experience a kick for himself.  My son Noah hasn’t yet.  Every time the baby starts moving and I tell Noah to come over, it stops.  Already giving it’s big brother a hard time.  I did however catch some movement on video which was fun to show my sister and mother in-law.

Food cravings?  Sweet are definitely something I have been craving more but I have been trying to keep fresh berries in the fridge to help with those cravings.  Now that it has been getting cooler out, I have been craving warm soups.  Made this Spicy Chicken Tortilla Soup earlier in the week and have been enjoying it over and over again for lunch.  SO good!

Anything making you queezy or sick?  Thankfully, no stomach issues!

Gender:  Mystery baby!  It will stay a mystery until I deliver.  🙂  Starting to hope it’s a boy because we have not agreed on a girl name yet.  There is still time though!

Labor signs?  Not yet thankfully!

Symptoms:  The biggest symptoms I have been experiencing has been the sciatic nerve pain.  Early last week I was not even able to walk it was so bad.  I never experienced this with Noah so this is all new to me.  I did end up going to the chiropractor a few times and it really helped a lot.  I assume I will have to continue to go as it bothers me throughout my pregnancy.  Thankfully my insurance covers chiropractic care.

I also started getting some minor heartburn earlier in the week.  I’ve tried to eat smaller, more frequent meals to help with this and it seems to be doing the trick…..at least for now.  When I was pregnant with Noah it was the worst and I really hope it doesn’t get that bad with Baby S.  Heartburn is something that I have only experienced with pregnancy.  Not fun!

Belly button in or out:  Half in/Half Out?  Didn’t think it was possible?  Well it is…..I know, sounds weird.

Wedding ring on or off:  On

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy but definitely more sensitive than I normally am!  Definitely shed a few tears over things I normally wouldn’t cry over.  But I am pregnant so that is suppose to be expected, right?

Looking forward to:  Saturday my husband Jason and I will be celebrating 6 years of marriage!  Not quite sure what we will be doing to celebrate but I know a good meal out will be on the agenda.  I also get to get a mani/pedi Saturday morning with my sister-in-law (birthday present!) which excites me!  My poor feet could use a little attention.  I am also so very excited to be in the last few weeks of the 2nd trimester.  Time is flying and I can’t believe it won’t be long until we meet Baby S!
